note: this was supposed to be a bulletin, but it got too long lol
rn im trying to lower my screentime. like i just deleted 15 discord servers im not active in (though thats not going to be very helpful..) and im trying to decide if i should delete it off my phone. ive already made it a habit to close discord (on my desktop) when im not using it instead of leaving it on in the background. i mean i can absolutely do that, i have more than enough ram for it lol
but im slowly trying to wean myself to have lower screentime overall, not just my phone. because (and im just guessing here) around 80% of my overall screentime is from my computer. and im not just going to cut myself off, i do so much stuff on here: finding music, watching video essays (or have them playing in the bg while writing this bulletin lmfao), gaming, watching shows/movies, chatting, yadda yadda a lot of awesome stuff.
though obviously the first step is actually trying to catelouge the stuff i do here lmfao. but im not doing any of that, im just jumping straight into trying to lower the social media stuff. however... the only social medias i use often are youtube and tumblr. i also have bluesky and pinterest but i barely use those unless im looking for smth specific. plus i HATEE the algorithm on bsky and also hate that my reposts/reblogs are included in the following tab, like cmon i wanna see the cool artists not my reposts of them
tumblr and youtube take up the majority of my time on my pc (yt the most). and i tend to watch essays, videos abt old tech, movie reviews, music.. umm what else..? anyways!! for tumblr i think im getting better at getting off after going through a few pages of my mutuals' reblogs (i hate infinite scrolling so i turned it off)
maybe i should really work on going though my watch list,,, it just gets bigger everyday.. and then i have a bunch of unwatched movies on my harddrives.. sighhhh
