2023 - 2026

JULY 2023

i was a poser. like D1 poser. this was the time i first discovered scene fashion. i knew scene queens like Kiki Kannibal and Amber Katelyn Beale but anything else? not a clue in the world. my idea of what scene fashion consisted of was pretty much just scenecore (or "glitchpuke" if u wanna get technical) and my idea of scene music was... 6arelyhuman, syko and THE ONE ACTUAL SCENE ARTIST --> Millionaires.

i claimed to dress scene(core) on tiktok but in reality i lived in stradivarius cargo pants and whatever shirts my mum bought/passed down to me. i didn't care too much about fashion at the time -- mainly due to being in strict school uniform 5 days a week OR only leaving the house 5 days a season. 

APRIL - JULY 2024

i started getting into rock/metal adjacent music -- finally listened to MCR like my friends had been telling me to and also discovered.. Falling In Reverse. i hate to admit it but Ronald Joseph Radke prob had huge impact on my fashion sense. around this time i went to comic con and bough my my first band tee 

this lead to the most recylced fit i've worn in my life to this day:

i also ATTEMPTED to cut a side fringe. emphasis on attempted. not all attempts are succesful.

that shit got tied up real quick.

AUGUST - NOVEMBER 2024

this was when things actually started changing. i finally switched up my hair for the first time in YEARS and got black-red ombre braids which i desperately tried to style in a way that would b read as scene. moving one braid to the side, moving two braids to the side, moving five braids to the side and tucking them (probably the best option). 

i also added more accessories, shirts n pants to my wardrobe. before this time, i felt like i couldn't really ask for things so i just stayed with what i had. but ever since i asked my mum "Hey can i get this Asking Alexandria shirt off vinted?" and she said "Sure" i just question what the hell was stopping me all those years ???

over the summer, thru twitter and other fandom spaces i found more alternative artists and got really into metalcore, nu metal, alt rock, a bit of pop punk and the genre that totally made me who i am today

DECEMBER 2024 - FEBRUARY 2025

once i discovered Brokencyde i knew exactly who i wanted to be. se7en was my main style info for a while which lead me to trying to replicate his iconic black/blond hair.

my other inspos around this time included Kitty Ob$cene, Sonny Moore, Spanky, Ambrehh again, Matt Geekamonsaurus nd Max Green

thanks to Sonny and Max i got 1/2 snakebites... a side labret. yeah ok i js got a side labret BUT I'LL HAVE SNAKEBITES ONE DAY TRUST 

fashion wise i think i'd evolved -- accessorising, colour co-ordination. i was definitely a lot more confident but still not fully happy with how i looked. the braids were a cute moment but not quite giving what i wanted to give + i know i don't have the ability nor mental strength to style my natural hair every single day so i tried to make a wig.. emphasis on tried. at the start of Feb i asked my mum if she could relax my hair again and it took a lil convincing but......

FEBRUARY - APRIL 2025

2nd fringe attempt was indeed successful. a bit much but 1000x times better than the previous try. 

until i started curling in my fringe ?? my mum used to say i looked like i came straight from the 50s/60s and i should've listened to her cuz wtf

i cringe looking back now cuz i truly thought i was THE SHIT and it was just SHIT but tbh.. this was a cute era! a little messy but still kinda cute <3

APRIL - OCTOBER 2025

by this point i was moving past just the simple;

tank/band tee + jeans + studded belt + bow to match top + converse

fit i was recycling.

i went from teasing my hair only 4 vids > teasing my hair only when i go out > constant teasing

there was one week where i stopped teasing and instead fluffed up my hair with my hands to create the teased look.. but that barely held ;-;

OCTOBER 2025 - APRIL 2026

this was quite a hard period of my life so i was caring about my style less. i also didn't post too much.

ON A BRIGHTER NOTE this was also the time i stopped using half the hair on my head as a fringe and finally cut layers. i haven't really changed up my hair at all since here.

CURRENT

in april i went to my first show ever (Brokencyde @ New Cross Inn) and realised i don't have to just support local bands from my bedroom. also became obsessed w clip in extensions for a week or so.

in may i hung out with a bunch of moots n friends + made a pledge to only buy pink clothing from now on. it's going well

in june i saw some sick ass bands 

in july.. not much is changing i'm just being hot <3
