I kinda broke the 4th wall and timetraveled 18 years in the future for this post but wtv im bored
1. Martha Reeves singing the national anthem
This is proof that everybody is so chronically online and this shouldn't be a big deal. So if you don't know, Martha Reeves was a famous singer back in the 60s and the early 70s and she was in a girl group called Martha and the Vandellas, which was famous for songs like Love Is Like A Heatwave in 1963 and Dancing In The Street in 1965. Anyways, recently, Martha performed the national anthem and it went how you would expect for a person who is elderly, not too good. I'm gonna give my opinion on the matter though as someone who is seeing this unfold in real time. I see comments defending her, saying that her voice sounds the way it does because of age, I also see comments making fun of her, saying she looked a hot mess, and she shouldn't be playing on that field at the age she is. I also see people saying that she performed worse than Fergie did, which caused me to put my phone down and genuinely do the thousand yard stare because we need to think before we comment. Yes, both performances were horrible, but one of the two can't control how her voice sounded. You gotta remember, Martha was prescribed with uppers, downers, sidewayers, this, that, and the third, and she was very dependant on them, so obviously shes gonna sound the way she does even though she did become drug free later in life, plus when you add that with her being 85 years old, its gonna sound horrible, but if she performed 50 years ago, then it would sound amazing. Meanwhile, in Fergies case, she was doing way too much, hootin and hollarin at her own free will. The jury (aka me) concludes this case closed on my part.
2. MySpace coming back and millennials going batshit crazy online
Genuinely, for people that are at the age that you need to have a job with stable pay and, if you want, a spouse and kids, yall are being so dramatic about "making MySpace a "millennial only" space" meanwhile there is so much stuff happening in the world including prices being raised and people of color and members of the LGBTQIA+ community being killed by extremists. If you haven't heard about MySpace coming back, lets take u back to gen x and millennials assuming we were cancelling eminem because of a song lyric. If you thought the millennial one sided beef with us couldn't get any worse, we have millennials crying because we just want to experience the pure MySpace experience that sites like Spacehey, FriendRewind, and Napoleonite doesn't fully bless us with. Now, heres the thing. Millennials are crying about this, meanwhile if the site isn't up to par with their standards, they'll run over to facebook just like they did back in 2009, and they can stay there while they're at it. Now, before I see comments regarding that Myspace was originally for teens, thats actually a misconception. Myspace wasn't a website for teens, it was a websites that a bunch of teens were on. There were many people who were on there at the time, adults and teens alike, which even if that was the case, millennials shouldn't be age shaming because imagine back in the 2000s if gen X were scolding millennials like they are doing to us. Like, sorry there isn't a site for purely MY AGE DEMOGRAPHIC! On top of that, millennials occupied TikTok, a space that caters to us teenagers and young adults so thats very contradictory of them. With that said, the jury (aka me) concludes this case closed on my part.

3. Perez Hilton Live Stream
I'm not gonna go too much into it because as someone who found the live on twitter and watched only 3 seconds of it on call with one of my friends, I was creeped the hell off and reported the video I saw. Before I get into the topic being "does he deserve people mocking him," I just want to say that tiktok moderation is a bitch and I hope people who accidentally came across the live are mentally okay because I am definitely not after watching that. Also, if you have any thoughts about doing yk what to yourself, call 988. Your life is too precious to be cut short.
Now if you don't know who Perez Hilton is, he is up there on the list of evil people in pop culture. He was cruel to everybody from Britney to Miley. And then he got crazy and started the infamous live. Speaking of which, ive seen people in comments say its not that bad and that it's humorous? No the fuck it isnt, have some decency. Personally, I do believe he deserved it. Nobody was as cruel as he was. Not even Wendy Williams and she went into a similar decline as him. But the way his decline went, he needs serious help. We all know he is ugly as hell, but that doesn't make the case any better. He genuinely looked demonic in that clip. Case closed because im getting nauseous thinking about it.
Thank you for reading this and maybe even read the rest of my blogs if u want :P byeee
