For a complete review I will be giving both my good and bad opinions. (keep in mind I didn't watch the WHOLE show however I did watch the first couple episodes)
Starting off with the things I like: I really like the idea of Frankie being nonbinary, it just makes so much sense in my opinion, especially considering they're made up of the body parts of different people. I also like the idea of Twyla being autistic. I think adding more body types is very good for kids to see growing up as well. I'm pretty sure I heard they changed Jina Fire's design to be closer to Asian dragons I think but don't quote me on that because I don't really know what those dragons are supposed to look like.
Things I didn't like: I don't understand why a show that aims to be more inclusive got rid of the representation that was already there instead of simply adding more. What happened to Abbey's Himalayan accent? Draculaura's Translyvanian accent? Lagoona's Australian accent? While it's just different European accents and might not seem very important, representation of all kinds matter. Also wtf did they do to Heath Burns he looks like is entire personality would be brainrot and 6-7 😭. Not to mention the amount of characters they got rid of, like goodbye Clawd and all of Clawdeen's siblings. Goodbye the OG's that were in the books btw like Rochelle and Rebecca </3. It also disappoints me how Ghoulia doesn't speak in zombie anymore, they had so much potential to make her nonverbal representation that would have been such a good twist.
Also let me just say I understand WHY they made it marketed towards younger kids, HOWEVER I still am not the biggest fan of it.
To anyone else who decided to give g3 a chance, what are your opinions?
