Neocities things i want to build

As someone who as a BS in computer science and an MS in software architecture and design, i hate tech. I didnt always hate tech and websites like myspace, tumblr, geocities, my v-petsite and others are why i even have those degrees. I used to love to create and build. but somewhere along the way it stopped being about creating and became about advertising and keeping people addicted. which is why i have been trying to reclaim my love for the internet with websites like friend rewind. for a while now i have not used algorithm heavy sites, the most being tumblr because that is VERY different from something like facebook in terms of content, algorithm, and over all community. 

but something i have been wanting to do for a while now is build out my own neocities site full of weird shit i love, shrines to my dog and collections of web graphics i have collected all over the web. while i can spin up full stack programs with frameworks and build out beautiful single page applications with full back ends, i dont want to. i have done that enough. i want to build out a shitty website that i just keep adding more .png's to and random completely unnecessary overdone css to one single link or something. i want to go back to what i used to do. i want to fall back in love with the internet. 

So here is my list of silly fun ideas i have to build out for my future neocites website

• shrines! Im thinking one for my dog is absolutly needed. one for Repo! the gentic opera. maybe one for bodice ripper books as collect vintage romance novels. and in that same vein, maybe a separate one for vintage gothic romance as well since thats another collection of mine.
• Tamagotchi collection! i have lots of vintage tamas. it could be fun to take photos of them and make some kind of collection page and show them off.
• a collection of my face retro websites. maybe this is just a bookmarks thing for me lol. but all the retro socials, rewritten games i have found, cool web graphics sites and anything else that has good vibes.
• tattoo tour. i think it could be cool to do some kind of interactive tattoo tour. i mean there wont be any full body scans lol. but maybe some kind of map where you can view each of my tattoos and some info about them. maybe ill add body mods to this as well.
• collection of my graphics/resources for others to use!
