hello, i’m vincent. nice to meetcha. i’m terrible at talking about myself, but i love talking extensively to others and giving advice (and sometimes going overboard), so do with this what you will. i’m a student in his last year of working towards a bachelors in both history and visual & material culture. i love all things history, especially hands on preservation and analysis of art, everyday objects, and more. i’m also happily in a relationship, and have many lovely little animals in my life. subculture wise, i’d consider myself goth. 

some other (general) interests of mine: thanatology, psychology, anatomy&physiology, philosophy, retro technology, visual kei, music in general (SO much music.)

more specific interest groups: gargoyles & grotesques, historical architecture, chapels & cathedrals, vanitas & memento mori still life (motifs, symbolism, historical significance and derivatives), vampirism, world history, baroque era music, andreas vesalius (critiquing the hell out of the man), historical anatomical practises, funeral culture & etiquette/funerary art, historical methods of execution, sony electronics (as a whole), older games & lost media, trauma, neurodegeneration & mental illness and its effects on the brain

i talk a lot very openly about my societal stances. if this is a problem for you, don’t interact. i’m also not a stranger to confrontation, whether it be confronting someone or being confronted. i value honesty and directness in communication.

a few final disclaimers or whatnot about me personally: i’m professionally diagnosed with schizophrenia; subtypes are no longer viable but i have prominent paranoid traits. i am not medicated, and follow a recovery model rather than a medication model of treatment. sometimes i have my moments, and i can seem “strange” or “outlandish” here and there. i post a lot of my thought processes on my blog. 

i have horribly low social energy, probably worse than the battery life of the iphone 12 mini. i’m also busy as hell in my real life (wow, user turbovirgin69 has a life?? shocker!!) so i might not always be available right away. i’m also very flat and not the most expressive, so don’t take that immediately as rudeness or anger. just read my words or ask for clarification if need be.
