hiiiiiii!! I'm super excited to be apart of this website lol. i mostly made it so when I make friends I can give them my account at my new school! I start 8th grade august 31, which I'm super nervous about, and a completely new school! Anyone have any tips for me? Also, i need nicknames for online! Oh! And i wouldn't mind some for me irl. I mostly have people call me Ava(irl name) but i DREAD that name. Or i go by Rose my middle name, and i have no clue what I should go by at school! Something reasonable not completely random of course.
also don't call me by my irl name on here tyty

since you’re going to eighth grade I want to give some tips, also from an eighth grader🥹
1. it’s your last year of middle school, so enjoy it while it lasts unless your middle school years are terrible (speaking from personal experience)
2. stay on top of your grades, don’t procrastinate, classes get harder this year.
3. Set certain goals for yourself.
4. If your school gives you the opportunity to take high school courses in middle school, take them!!
5. Take clubs and sports as it is a good way to make friends.
6. If your teachers offer extra credit, do not hesitate to attempt them.
7. For studying I’d recommend flash cards or active recall, pomodoro works too.
8. Do your homework before proceeding to do anything else, you’re hungry? just grab a snack and go do your homework.
9. Spend less time on your phone
10. Please just stay out of unnecessary drama.
11. Bring extra school supplies + an emergency kit
12. Learn the difference between friends and acquaintances. The people who talk to you for three days and then leave you later are not your friends.
13. Try not to grow up so fast, I see this is such a big problem for people as soon as they hit the eighth grade, or really just anything past fifth grade, is that they tend to ditch every original interest that they have because they don’t want to seen as “cringe” or “childish.”
14. This may contradict with no. 13 but try to be yourself. Don’t follow trends because everyone else is.
