not reading texts?

so i have a friend on a different site,(he's like 66 now,he's not a creep tho don't worry),anyways,he might not be reading my texts properly or he's like just not connecting stuff properly? cuz i sent him a text with a spelling error at the start and i didn't notice until i sent it so at the start of the next one i corrected myself and pointing out that it was an error,then he texts back (ages later cuz on different continents) and he asks what the word was after i had very clearly(made sure it was clear) that it was an error and put the correct word that i had meant to type,i'd like to add this has happened multiple times
