Hello hello! Welcome to my very first blog post!!
I've wanted to start writing little blog entries for a while, and I figured what better way to start than by talking about one of my BIGGEST interests??? (and probably the most obvious one if you've seen my profile).
If you don't know me, i'm nugget! Just a smol internet creature who loves drawing, creating characters, collecting interests like they're little trinkets and getting unnecessarily attached to fictional characters. i tend to ramble quite a bit, especially when it comes to things i rlly rlly love, so consider this your warning.
aaanyway, enough about me. let's get to the actual subject of this post.
♡ my VERY serious vox obsession
if you've interacted with me before, there's a pretty good chance you've heard me mention vox. and if you haven't, well, you're about to find out just how much i can talk about this stupid TV man.
I genuinely don't remember the exact moment I became so attached to him, but somewhere along the way he went from being a character I liked to someone I could spend hours talking about. His design, his voice, his expressions, his personality, his mannerisms, EVERYTHING. I could probably write an entire paragraph about one specific scene or facial expression and still have more things to say.
One thing i particularly love about Vox is his personality. He's arrogant, dramatic, ridiculously competitive and has an almost impressive obsession with his public image. He's also incredibly entertaining to watch, especially when things don't go exactly how he wants them to. I LOVE characters who have flaws and aren't necessarily good people. There's something super interesting about exploring characters like that, understanding their motivations and figuring out what makes them tick.
i also really enjoy how much room there is to interpret him. There's so much I like thinking about when it comes to his character, his relationships, his behaviour and even the smaller details that might not immediately stand out. I tend to overanalyse characters I like, so naturally, Vox has become one of my favourite subjects.
♡ AND THEN THERE'S THE YUMESHIP.
if you know me, you probably know about vanilla by now! she's my hazbin hotel yumesona, and she's basically my little contribution to the whole vox related brainrot situation hehe.
i've spent quite a lot of time developing her character, her backstory, her relationship with Vox and all the little details surrounding them. I genuinely enjoy creating scenarios for the two of them, coming up with headcanons, imagining their interactions and developing their relationship.
what i love most about yumeshipping is that it gives me the freedom to explore my own ideas and create something personal. It's not just about putting my character next to a character i like. It's about building a whole dynamic, giving them their own history, figuring out how they'd interact and making something that feels special to me.
vanilla and vox have become something i've put a lot of creativity and affection into, and i really enjoy having a little world of my own to come back to. i could talk about their relationship for HOURS, but i'll spare you the full dissertation for now. emphasis on for now.
♡ so, why vox?
i guess there's no single explanation. i like his character, i enjoy analysing him, i love his design and i have a lot of fun creating things inspired by him. he's simply a character i've grown very fond of, and my interest in him has turned into something that means quite a bit to me creatively.
I know he's fictional. Trust me, i'm painfully aware. Doesn't stop me from being ridiculously attached, though. Let a nugget have her TV man.
aaanyway, thank you for reading my first little blog post!! i have plenty of other things i'd like to ramble about, so this probably won't be the last time you see me writing an unnecessarily long entry about something i like. (Vox SPECIFICALLY)
i hope you enjoy your stay in my little corner of the internet!!
