I LOVE OFFBEAT!!!!

ive been playing offbeat a lot and its so fucking fun but one thing is that its actually helped me with making music. its like when im making shit ingame, it takes the pressure off of trying to make something perfect, or even "good" and gives me limitation, structure and things i can work off of. different people will commission you to do a jingle or a song for things and as you do them you make money to buy more instruments. its relly fun.

having to use a sequencer piano roll and messing around with chords and just pairing random stuff together and hearing how it sounds in the loop helps take some weight off my shoulders. ive made two songs that are like actually decent from scratch, and i pretend im playing offbeat making a song for a character. i dunno how long the game is or how far i am into it but it has a feature that lets me just jam and make whatever and its actually not a bad DAW. you can export everything and use it all as you wish.

its also really really good at teaching music, the tools and fun creation of it, and one quote i like "despite what people say, there arent really any rules to making music. if it sounds good, it sounds good" the only true restrictions this game has are for when a character commissions something; theyll want certain chord lengths or speeds or rising/falling notes and it teaches it all through actually being hands on . please go buy and play it or if yorue broke, like me, STEAL it, then save up money to actually buy it to support them
