Omnium's Song OTD [1]

For the first entry I picked a sorta music themed css, though I myself am not entirely sold on it. This may or may not change in the future, as I might make a more custom one another time. For now though, this will be the one I use.  ^_^ (I am also writing this up on mobile in which some of the formatting doesnt preview properly for me, so I hope all this looks correct on computer!)

So the way this will work, is I will share a song I enjoy, maybe list some things I like about it and try to share a story relating to the song or what it means to me. So for instance, I could share a song I heard at an important time in my life, or one that reminds me of an event that happened to an OC of mine. Regardless, I'll do my very best to write a little something for each one.

Today's song is one important to me personally, one I know for sure I have enough to write about so that you're all hooked for the next one, teehee! My boyfriend is a huge fan of King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard. (Band) And I'll be honest before we got together, I didn't really see the appeal. I thought the band was just sorta all metal, and I don't really like metal. However, during our sorta "Talking Stage" thing we had going on (I was fresh out of a terrible relationship and he wanted me to wait to get into another one for my own wellbeing, though we were both pretty sure we liked eachother in that way.) he brought up listening to this song and thinking of me. Mostly because this band doesn't really make many "Love Songs" the one or two they sorta had were special to him. I said "Fuck it" and decided to give it a listen, since if it was important to him I might as well give it a shot. I LOVED it. I had no idea that KGLW was more than metal. I left it on loop as I slept that night, it was incredible. In fact, I loved it so much that I bought it on vinyl right there and then.

It's funny, cause buying that vinyl I think sorta cemented my relationship. I remember taking a video of me putting in on and his first response was something along the lines of "I've never been more sure I love you." and really I owe alot to KGLW and their music for not only bringing us together, but being something I share with my friend group, as well as being a constant inspiration for my art and characters. 

We got together like a week later, by the way. Neither of us could stand actually waiting. On our first real date I took him to an audio visualizer world on VR Chat, and put in a special code I had created for specific settings on this song. Turns out he also planned to take me to the same place and had the exact same idea to play that song there, however I was the only one out of the two of us that had special settings put on! Teehee :)c

Either way, I really love this song, and I even have a character design inspired by the album! Funny enough, it was designed by my boyfriend to be sold as an adoptable design but no one offered for it and I got to keep it.
