So, this concert, as the title suggests, was one of the best I have been to, and I've had my fair share of going to shows.
Who did I see?
Motionless In White's "The Sweat and Blood" Tour
Absolutely amazing.
The opening acts were wonderful. It started with Static Dress, a post-hardcore band from the UK. This was my first experience with them and I was blown away. They sounded amazing. The second act was Fit For A King. They were absolutely sick. My favorite part of the whole concert was the third performers, which I was most excited to see (no hate towards MIW. i love them just as much). The third performance was the deathcore band Lorna Shore and seeing them live was an absolute dream come true. The moment I heard their opening song's first notes, "To The Hellfire" had my heart going crazy. Though I was a little disappointed they didn't play their "Pain Remains" trilogy, which I assume is only because they weren't headlining a tour.
The time had finally come to see the headliners, and saying I was blown away is an understatement. This was my second time seeing them live, the first being when they toured with BMTH, which was sick. Seeing them headline a show was so cool. They put on a great show. The moment you think that they would say they are playing their final song, they played like 5 more. Near the end of the set, I had lost hope of them playing my favorite MIW song, Slaughterhouse. The MOMENT I lose hope, Chris Motionless starts giving the crowd instructions on what to do at a certain part of the song. The second I hear him say "ONE MUTILATION" and the crowd chants back with "UNDER GOD", I was practically shaking. Hearing Slaughterhouse live when they played with BMTH was so shocking and cool, but hearing it a second time actually knowing the song was absolutely amazing. I was in the seats, so I couldn't mosh, but I sure was close to it, which is something I never do at concerts.
Overall, a phenomenal performance from all four bands. I would definitely encourage all metalheads to see MIW at least once.
