osprey birds declining

ospreys in the patuxent river are decreasing. there used to be a good amount of ospreys in the world, now they are rapidly declining because of the difficulty of raising their baby birds. ospreys have to fight or intimidate other birds when claiming their territory, birds are very territorial creatures. when mothers give birth the baby is always with their parents. except for when the father osprey has to get food. ospreys eat blue catfish and smother fish you can find in the patuxent river. after a while father ospreys leave the nest because with the growing child getting bigger the nest runs out of space, though when the mother ospreys calls for the father the father will come flying right back. the patuxent river has lots of cute tiny fish. it reminded me of the small fish that are kept in pet stores. i feel bad that those fish can’t live in their natural habitat. my friend picked up a fish, she let me hold it, it was swimming around in my hand and jumped out. that was a fun experience. there were also small jellyfish, i pet so many of them, they felt so slimy. they kinda felt like how a stingray feels. i want to swim with stingray's. i want to feel coral as well.
