Why do parents have to hate people expressing themselves via clothes or other methods like sorry I'm not into the stereotypical boy interests and that I want to express those more weird or feminine interests. Also why do you care about what I'M wearing, it's not like you're wearing it. I think it just comes down to homophobia.
