people think everything has some sexual connotations and I'm sick of it

I often wear a tail keychain in public for the purpose of self expression. I usually sway my body whenever I'm content and I've always enjoyed anything dog-related so I thought it'd be cute to have one that wags with my body. Now let me preface this by saying that I don't mind when my friends joke about it because they don't mean it and are aware of how I use the accessory, so it's funny in my small circle.

But there are too many times where I'm in public and I'm given weird looks or just straight up catcalled because they assume that it's also some kind of code ?? I really just like having a tail that wags dude. The idea of it being a sexual thing discomforts me and having to constantly explain that infuriates me. Can we not have things for the sole purpose of looking cute anymore </3 everyone loves to say they love alternative people until they meet someone who doesn't fit into their vision of the style.

And this isn't to say that anyone who does fit into that vision is basic or not alternative enough, absolutely not; everyone has experienced their own version of this because of their choice of expression. This is really just about me being able to wear a tail in peace lol
