peter parker is a bum

the older i get, the harder it is for me to not see peter parker as a bum and an idiot. he supposedly has this genuis level iq and an expert in some science but NO ONE ever hold him accountable for hispoor decisions. not like people do with iron man. and you know sometimes he gets held accountable for it by readers but how much dumb stuff does peter have to do before he gets seen in a different light. this is consistent within his history in over 65 years of books. iron man gets mischaracterized and written poorly but in peter’s case that’s just his character. that’s literally who he is.
