pets pest

maybe getting a new pet but my family hates everything that isnt a dog or a fish, they dont allow cats, rats, bats, snakes, hamsters, bunnies or anything like em, 

even though i kinda yearn for the pack 🐺🐺 id like something other than a dog for once. had birds before and it didnt go well. i looked at a tortoise and maybe id have one but i read that i have to leave them alone a lot cuz theyll get stressed and blow up. i like holding/giving attention when i can to things

is there possibly something else that isnt extremely costly that i could maybe love and take care of
