Hey everypony! I wanted to show off my collection because I am really happy to be building it up again & just wanted an excuse to blabber on about something :] My collection is a mix of brand new & thrifted movies & shows — I mostly buy at op shops nowadays though. Possibly a long blog... get cozy!

The first stack! (most of these sit under my bedside table rather than in the tub). Scream 3 was an impulse purchase because I actually only remember anything about the first movie, and it is also one of the very few horror movies I own! The Underworld franchise is something I remember asking my aunt to get me at like 14 because I saw it had vampires, so it has a nostalgic feel to it in a way. NCIS is theee beloved crime show not tied to anything supernatural. I watched 2-5 seasons on a free streaming site and recently picked up the 6th season today so I am excited to get back into it! I missed the family dynamics and such. Also a nostalgic vibe, I remember catching random episodes on tv growing up and loved it. Man, Supernatural... Guys, it took me FOREVER to get into the show! It is as good as everyone told me it would be. I cannot believe I left behind the other seasons I found at the tip shop... I am sooo regretting that. I need the entire series asap, I am almost finished with s2 already </3 No show has come close to my love for The X-Files until now. Heck, this is probably on the same level. I love supernatural investigation shows man. Can anyone else not stop getting teary-eyed in almost every episode of this show? Man. I also, of course, have the movies where Margot Robbie plays as Harley Quinn. Not for that, but also she plays her really well. Suchhhh good movies. Joker was also a good one (let's not talk about the 2nd movie not pictured... I am donating that because it was trash, sorry). I have a lot of regret about The Menu. Not because it was bad, I liked it a lot! I regret it because I binged like every major part of the movie on YouTube Shorts... I wish I could watch the movie itself without any prior knowledge, but alas. And oh my goodness, the soundtrack in Queen of the Damned?? I am not a big metal girl, but good god I was enthralled. And lastly, Charmed! I unfortunately was too late on grabbing the first two seasons. Suchhh a nostalgic show!
Stack 2! I loveee the Jurassic Park franchise even if the world movies lowkey kind of suck... My first world disc is pretty scratched up because it belonged to my grubby brother, so... Who is surprised. I am keeping an eye out for a new one at the op shops. You will also see some shark movies because even though they scare me, they are great to watch with my mother! She also really liked Crawl. I did snag the OG 47 Metres Down movie but I did not like it (everyone said it was better than Uncaged??) so I am also donating that one. Black Widow was a fun one! I remember getting it at Big W before they stopped selling movies (losers). Florence is in it which gives me flashbacks to Midsommer... (I am sure it is a good movie, it was just tooo much for me and lived in gory intrusive thoughts when I was #notwell). I honestly remember nothing about the 2nd Escape Room movie aside from the ending, but I enjoyed the first one and Taylor Russell (who is in Bones and All, a fave of mine), is in it, so!! And then we have The Mummy. I really loved the actress who played The Mummy, and the movie itself was one I enjoyed. I need to rewatch the originals but whenever they are on tv, my mother skips over them because she cannot stand them haha.
Not a stack, my babies get their own section :P So The X-Files is kind of my favourite thing ever, and I was so upset about SBS On Demand removing the show before I got to finish it and then rewatch it again a couple years back. I decided to get back into it by buying the entire boxset for two hundred dollars which is actually why I do not have the Supernatural boxset (which is one sale for $180 which is a SCORE!!!), Mum said no to that. Anyway!! I scored the 2nd movie at a tip shop which was craziness!! Soo many good movies there (also where I found Supernatural). I am getting the 1st movie to complete my collection of Christmas. Anyway!! My most cherished and treasured things in my collection yet. I have been writing little reviews in a notebook dedicated to The X-Files, just what I liked about the episodes mostly. I am onto season two (would be further but, well, it is my first time watching Supernatural... and I am balancing other shows) and Alex Krycek has just popped in. God I love and hate his character. Scully & Mulder's dynamic just keeps getting better and better. Gaaah!!! My babies. If you looked up the definition of soulmates, you would find them.
Gave the nature mini movies/shows their own section also because it just felt right to group them this way! Loveeee David Attenborough's (however you spell that, sorry I cannot be bothered to double check) voice! The National Geographic Wildlife Wonders Collection is actually very nostalgic to me because I grew up watching this very one! Kind of. I actually bought it because I couldn't find my parent's one, only to get home and have my mother find it haha. To be fair, some of them are probably a bit scratched and now I can have my own copy anyway! The other National Geographic one is one I bought to match the other one and also kind of solely for the Caribbean Reef disc... I like calming nature documentaries, especially of the sea, even if the sea is scary to me.
A Silent Voice fucked me UP when I was a mentally ill suffering teen. I have not rewatched it since getting better, probably because I know I will be sobbing. I do not even relate to it, it is just SAD!! Anyway, it was really good. The Cat Returns is the first Studio Ghibli movie I ever watched!! I loved it a lot even if it is a tad weird. Me? I would not feel romantical about a human-ish cat. You do you, girl. Luca is one of my favourite movies ever!! Up is another favourite, though I am sorry to say I enjoyed it a lot more growing up than I do now. The Princess and The Frog is another favourite and also one of the very few movies I do not mind singing in! The Little Mermaid was an impulse buy solely because it matched The Princess and The Frog... I have yet to watch it, I remember nothing about it really. Scooby Doo is nostalgic as hell for me, I want to build up a collection! I did not realise this was a 2019 movie though so I have yet to watch it because I worry the nostalgic vibe is not there. I reallyyy want the ghouls school & alien invaders movies, I remember them being my favourites growing up! Ice Age 3 is a childhood dvd I did not get rid of, probably because of the #dinosaurs. I actually do not enjoy the Ice Age movies much... I used to like them, but I don't know. And then there is Spiderman: Into the Spider-verse! I got this thinking it was the Across movie, but I actually am not even mad (I was a tad upset at the time). This one is my favourite, it is so freaking good. Also I did not enjoy the other one as much... Maybe I need to give it another chance and rewatch it, but whatever.
Stack... 4? I think? My hands hurt from typing. I wanted to be Maleficent because I thought she was so cool in this movie. I keep it for that reason. I know I said I am not a big fan of singing in movies so let's just ignore the live action beauty and the beast, I haven't made up my mind on if I should donate it or not (I am also not a fan of live action adaptations and whatnot). The first Narnia movie... Man. I loved Narnia growing up. This was kind of an impulse pick-up. If I crave returning back to childhood wonder, I return to this movie. My mother and I watched The Craft: Legacy together. I loved the original and need that in my collection. I am also not able to make my mind up on if I should donate this one or not. I will need to rewatch it. I just remember it not having the same feel (which, I mean, duh... It isn't from the same era). Yay to trans rep though, that was cool! The Darkest Minds is another movie I thought was the #shit when I was younger. Seriously, my daydreams were full of this movie for AGES! #maladaptivedaydreaming. The Hunstman: Winter's War is maybe tied to another movie, I actually do not know. I thought it was great at the time, but now I only keep it for that. It is... alright. Just no longer my thing. The second (or third? because of the original old one) Jumanji movie does not hold a flame or however it goes to the one before it. I honestly would not mind not keeping this one.
Stack number whatever! A Dog's Purpose had me fucked up. I cannot when they bring animals not being happy and comfortable into anything. I cried several times. A Dog's Journey was okay, I think. Definitely nothing like the first one. Cancer topics also make me crazy paranoid so it was an uncomfortable watch. The Call of the Wild also had me sobbing, I remember I watched this in cinema with my Nan and had to own the movie. The book is awesome and so is the movie (shhhh, let's forget I said I am not a fan of live adaptations okay). Dog was alright. My mother & Nan enjoyed it more than I did, so that's why I am keeping it (even though my mother isn't big on rewatching movies). The Dressmaker was a movie I bought from bloody Coles which is insane to think about. Coles need to start selling movies again. Anyway, I can see it is a great movie, I must have liked it enough at the time to buy it even though I had already seen it, but I would not rush back to rewatching it now. I am kind of sick of seeing it on TV a lot. Aftersun... Sorry, I did not like this as much as everyone said I would. I will need to rewatch it perhaps, because the first time, I just kept waiting for something big to happen but that something never came. I have yet to watch Florida Project (another one people say is really good) because it being 3hrs long keeps putting me off... My best friend said she watched half of it and gave up because she didn't like the documentary vibe of it which gives me hope in it possibly being good actually. We also just do not have similar tastes for the most part. Moonlight was one I kept seeing at the local op shop and decided to pick up because I saw it in pride month movie stacks online! It actually is kind of the first queer movie to my collection. I am excited to watch it!
Stack #whatevernumber. So the first Step Up movie is another favourite and could never do wrong and Channing Tatum is so damn fine in this movie. The second one has all the iconic characters and is good! The third one is... something. My mother & I watched the next two, and because they were so bad, I decided to stop expanding my Step Up movie collection... Yeah. 1st one is godly. I like dancing movies so I bought Honey! I also remembered one scene only and gathered I must have enjoyed it growing up. So cool. Mean Girls is of course a classic, as is Clueless! Let's pretend Catch & Release is not with Suddenly 30 (we call it 13 Going on 30 here). Catch & Release was awful. What is wrong with everyone. Moving on, my best friend bought me another favourite movie of mine which is 10 Things I Hate About You! Sure, it is not actually the greatest movie, but it is so fun! The Proposal is one I got because I remember the ad for it always coming up on TV and wanted to expand on my 'chick flick' collection. Why was everyone in Pitch Perfect actually fucking insufferable? I used to like this movie?? Chloe is sooo gay for Becca by the way! And Barbie is here too. I need to rewatch it to figure out how I feel about it. I keep the movie out of guilt. To cut a medium length story short, I told my mother I wanted the movie but she said no so I watched half of it on a Princess movie site (which my school later banned at the time #losers), decided I didn't want to finish it, told Mum, and then she was like ?? But I bought you the movie for christmas?? what do you mean you watched it?? So I reassured her that it was okay and I would give it another go anyway because I didn't finish it.
Andddd lastly, these two I got today! I already mentioned NCIS soo moving onto Uptown Girls! I have been hoping I find this one so I am thrilled to have done so! Actually, back onto NCIS, they had season 8 and 9 but I was not too sure on the condition of the s8 discs so I left those there.

And voila, the end! My hands are sore and I cannot wait to post this (I hope it does not reset on me...) so I can go to sleep. Goodnight & please comment anything about anything relating to my post. Even talk about your own collections! I love seeing and hearing about people's collections. Okay goodbye xx
