honestly I never really saw pinkie pie as black, mainly for her family. However I think that the interpretation of her straight hair becoming curly after seeing the rainboom being an analogy for black women straightening their hair to fit into societal norms and expectations but then deciding to wear their hair natural because it feels more true to them is really meaningful and powerful, I think women of colour deserve to have that analogy in media as it is what a lot of them experience.
