Please Make Your Layout Readable.

Don't Do That.

i assume you want people to be able to read the layout you put your blood sweat & tears in, and making it look like this will probably drive away like half of the people coming to your page.

i know it is really fun to slap a ton of eye catching images on your profile. but there's a place for them, and behind text is NOT one of them. i honestly don't know how some of you can read your own layouts </3

an image behind your text can be okay if it has low contrast and doesn't distract much from the text, as such:

not everyone is a designing pro (i wouldn't say i am either) and that's OK. i don't care what your layout looks like, as long as you MAKE THAT SHIT READABLE.

not only can images make a difference, color contrast is very important too. thankfully someone made a very neat guide on what colors do and don't work together for readability!

although, i'd give a hard disagree on yellow/white being "good".
