Everyone has a memory (writing, speaking, reading, hearing) that works better than others. I had to rewrite things down in a recognizable way to remember them. Also, teaching what you learned to someone else helps with figuring out what you are missing in your memory. Doesn’t have to be serious teaching, just recaps with friend is good enough. Try different methods of studying, wishing the best of luck to you ٩( ᐛ )و
Heres a couple good tips on studying Don’t just reread. Quiz yourself instead—cover your notes and try to explain the topic from memory. Try 25–30 minute study sessions followed by a 5-minute break. Make mini study guides with only the important formulas, definitions, dates, and concepts. Teach it to someone else. If you can explain it simply, you probably understand it. Put your phone somewhere annoying to reach while studying. Set tiny goals: “Finish 10 problems” is better than “study math.” Review a little each day instead of cramming everything the night before. Reward yourself after finishing a study goal—game, YouTube, snack, whatever works. Don't sacrifice sleep for hours of studying. Being exhausted makes remembering things harder. Start with the hardest subject while your brain is still fresh.
My favorite method: 25 minutes studying → 5 minutes break → repeat 3–4 times → longer break. It makes a huge pile of schoolwork feel much more manageable.

Making notes helped me, I guess the action of writing it down. I would remembered writing it and how it looked on the page
