plz help me with playing guitar

im learning how to play a new song on guitar but its kind of fast and the strumming really hurts my arm ( i swear im not frail asf) but like is there anyway to make it easier other than slowing it down or do i just need to actually have some arm muscleΒ

i'm by far not the best strummer ever either but what i usually do is that i start playing it at a comfortable speed and then i speed it up a bit every time i play it to build up stamina for it yk. There will always be songs that are a little more demanding physically, u just gotta let ur arm get used to it :)
