I want to quit

I've been working as a receptionist for a year now, its an easy job, I sit in my office alone doing my job at my pace, I make my own coffee as many times as I want and I watch the movies I want since im by myself. This job was perfect for me since I needed something until I went back to working as a pharmacy technician, this job has its ups and downs.

To be honest what work doesn't have it downs and I may sound like I'm whining but ever since I started working here my bosses loved how I worked, I treated the guests politely, I did everything that I was told to do and more, I changed offices if asked to and just in general I was the perfect employee. I never minded doing it because its my work and I get paid so I didn't complain about it, until started seeing how everyone was getting paid compared to me. 

Everyone gets paid dollars over me, I'm not speaking a dollar or two I'm talking about 4 - 5 dollars and beyond. I wanted to think it was because I was the new one but this year I learnt why. The reason was because I'm the youngest one and I don't complain about anything so thats why they don't bother to pay me more. Believe me when I say was pissed at this cause, what do you mean I get paid because I'm the youngest one? I'm young but I'm not dumb :/

At the moment I'm applying for other jobs because even though this job is easy and comfortable all they do is give me other peoples jobs / assignments because they just don't want to do it and I'm younger. I did start to speak up for myself and started to say no a few months ago, would you believe me if I told you that they tried to guilt trip me every time I said no? 

I hope that when I quit they don't find someone as good as me, just because they couldn't pay me equally even though I did more things than the other receptionists. I don't feel like the bad guy and never will, all of this could've been avoided if they listened to me when I talked about equality. 

Is it normal to be lessened just because we are younger?

Also as someone that worked in the medical field I find it stupid when people say that it's because we are inexperienced, like? I probably have more than experience than the old hag that worked in the same place for years.
