PSA: Post hardcore is not the only genre associated with the emo subculture!

Everyone is always arguing over what emo is or either hating on it... Whatever! I'm personally in the boat that thinks emo has had multiple waves and changes, so yes, Midwest emos, scenemos, 2000s MySpace emos, and the OG punk emos are all emos to me! Just different versions of it!

I'm personally in the Scenemo (combination of Scene and Emo subcultures) boat so I enjoy listening to crunkcore, screamo, post hardcore, and electronicore!  (But I do also listen to every genre ever too hehe)

Some genres that can be found within the emo subculture are emotional hardcore, post hardcore, screamo, and emoviolence!

Now I don't know much about the history of these specific genres as I'm not into music history but I just wanted to let you beginner emos know this so you can find other bands other than MCR! Have fun checking each genre out!
