putting YOU on the all american rejects

all i do is think about the all american rejects and YOU SHOULD TOO! so here's my complete rundown of the band and why YOU should start listening to them :

first off, their MUSIC

The album timeline goes – The All American Rejects (2002), Move Along (2005), When the World Comes Down (2008), Kids in the Street (2012), and (the soon to release next month!!!!) Sandbox (2026).

Their music style in general is incredibly versatile and they have been put through the Emo-Pop Punk-Alt Rock ringer over 1000 times, despite it being hard to put their albums under one roof. If you WANT a big umbrella description you could say pop punk, as that was the style at the time. Some of their earliest influences were bands like Blink-182 and Motion City Soundtrack.

Their most socially recognized song is probably Dirty Little Secret (which i KNOW youve heard don't lie to me), however their highest played song to date is Gives You Hell – which actually was the #1 song listened to in 2009!!

Other memorable songs of theirs include Move Along and Swing Swing, but my personal favorites are AS FOLLOWS:

4.) 11:11pm, 3.) Damn Girl, 2.) Time Stands Still, 1.) Affection

anyhow. their music is really good end of story, NOW the GUYS are what make this thing so much better okay:

[ ⚠︎ good disclaimer: NO bigots ahead, NO predators ahead, YES hot men ahead ⚠︎ ]

The group consists of: Tyson Ritter (Lead vocals, bass), Nick Wheeler (Lead guitar, SOME backing vocals), Mike Kennerty (Rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Chris Gaylor (Drums)

Tyson Ritter (born 04/24/1984) // im american. this is MM/DD/YY btw. obviously // is the lead singer for, and also the baby of, the all american rejects!! yay! Special note, he's actually been playing bass for the band longer than he's been singing. He, Nick, and a third guy named Jesse Tabish formed the band in 1999, where Tyson only sung about 40% of the songs on their demo CD, and Jesse did the rest. Like Blink-182. lol

He's relatively flamboyant…there was a whole Glitter Ritter era, I recommend looking into it. He finds biggest inspiration from artists like David Bowie and Freddie Mercury. Ty is a big romantic…Anyway, he looks like this vv

♥♥

Nick Wheeler (born 03/20/1982) is the lead guitarist for AAR. sometimes he sings but he hates his voice. he can also: play drums, bass, keyboard, banjo, mix songs, produce them, edit them, do graphics for their album art, and Literally Everything Else. He went to college for music theory, and is a big tech geek. When the band first started, he only played the drums!

He's a huge dog person, and he LOVES The Muppets. Like insanely. He has a Muppets guitar strap, a Muppets tattoo on his right arm, and was at the Muppets Most Wanted premier?? His favorite is Dr. Teeth, and he wants to hump Janice

Uhh he looks like this vv

i REALLY like his face. (dont let his emo look fool you, he's an 80s hair metal boy to his core)

Mike Kennerty (born 07/21/1980) is the rhythm guitarist for AAR, as well as the main backing vocals. He also plays the bass during their acoustic shows! He joined the band sometime mid 2002. He's most recognizable by his Jesus Look and the way he throws himself about onstage. It's a miracle he hasn't fell off yet.

He's a HUGE punk. He's been a visible fan of bands like the Misfits, Circle Jerks, The Queers, and Descendents. He has a Black Flag tattoo on his left chest, and he's even worked numerous times with Screeching Weasel!!! He also really likes: Dr. Pepper, Taco Bell, The Simpsons, and collecting various boxes of cereal

Here's his face vv

big fan of it…

Chris Gaylor (born 04/11/1979) is the drummer for AAR. He's also their only blonde :D! He joined in late 2002, replacing initial drummer Tim Campbell. He's a relatively quiet person, but he's about as big a freak as the rest…he has ear gauges, and i think they're sexy

He's a big cat person, and he has a shaggy grumpy cat named Merlin. He's also the most tatted Reject, with plenty covering both arms AND his chest! He had white people dreads in 2009 and in 2017 but we…Dont talk about that.

This is him vv

what a babe

--

In conclusion, theyre all very funny and very attractive boys who make very good music and I highly recommend for them to get more recognition…I will make a follow up to this about their homo tendencies for the RPF audience

I have a pretty big link bucket here full of YT videos and sites and all that jazz for extra enjoyment :-)

But uhhh yeah go listen to the All American Rejects now. Theres not much time. Its so important. You have to if you want to survive
