Hi!! first blog here and I simply must tell you my thoughts (even if most people won't look at this)

I have horrible grammar, so you can expect lack of punctuation here and there.

anyways!

Saw an image of a badger on Pinterest then, made the grave mistake of reading the wikipedia page. Now you may be asking, "Wesley, what does this have to do with Red Pandas?"

and to that I say, you should have more patience.

anyways, I clicked on the SUPER FAMILY: 

Musteloidea

(awfully dramatic if you ask me) and to my surprise, I saw an image of a red panda staring back at me. so I thought to myself "how odd.." though it wasn't the oddest thing I've learned about Red Pandas, I knew they weren't exactly related to pandas at all.

Well, that was until I saw the family tree and found out they were more related to SEALS and WEASELS than they were to actual pandas. SEALS. WEASELS. WHAT A SHOCK. So I told my friend who will probably wake up to that message later

I did more digging and..

PANDAS ARE FRAUDS!

well sort of but also it's kind of our fault

red pandas were actually named "pandas" before the giant pandas were even discovered and their names were changed into "RED pandas". Humans decided that pandas were the original pandas one day, and Red pandas were now reduced to Lesser pandas, which is simply insulting to red pandas:-(

well, red pandas are actually in their own little family! called Ailuridae. they are the only LIVING animal in the family, 

so sad :^((

I'm not even sure how pandas survived this long but that's a blog for another day.
