DEFINITELY DISAGREE WITH RED VELVET BEING LABELLED AS JUST CHOCOLATE CAKE! It's NOT! It's a buttermilk binegar cake with a HINT of cocoa. The classic red colour is created by the chemical reaction between the natural pigments found in the cocoa powder and the alkali vinegar with the acidity of the buttermilk which creates this signature dark red colour, I don't really remember what the reaction is or what happens during it BUT NONETHELESS. NOT CHOCOLATE CAKE!
