I JUST MADE SUCH A RISKY PURCHASE ON DOORZO!
So, I recently ordered a PSP 2000 on "Doorzo" because I saw many ads and hauls about them and decided to give it a try after seeing the prices on eBay (yikes). I've been wanting to play Persona 3, so I bought both of them on there. The Persona 3 game is in good condition, and it works as shown in the pictures. As for the PSP 2000, the screen works, buttons work, charging cable including a bonus 2.0 GB card and a game... I made the mistake of not reading the description where it states, "Console does not charge even when plugged in..." My heart DROPPED.
After I saw that and realized there was no turning back, I went online for an HOUR to research ways to fix the charging problem on Reddit forums, YouTube, and Google. I'm not good at fixing technology; all I can do is reset, power on and off, and search online for a solution, which is what I did. From what I found out, the possible reasons for the seller to say that it doesn't charge even when plugged in are:
Weak charging block
Cheap cable
Needs a new Third-party battery
and worst-case scenario... I need to buy a new charging port replacement for the PSP 2000. The prices for battery and cable are around $5-$15.
I have never bought something online secondhand, and I failed to do the number one thing everyone should do when buying something online... checking the description. I hope when it arrives, the fix is just a new battery and charging box, which is a (Mini-USB). But OMG my anxiety was through the roof...
