saying this as a lgbtq+ person

Even though I wanted to enjoy Pride Month without having to talk about this, I thought it would be better to use this time to vent about one or more things that have been bothering me lately about the community, being an LGBT person.

People within the community lately have become very open to being panphobic and biphobic. They don't properly research their own community before labeling themselves, and this only makes the community an even bigger target for homophobes, making us even more of a joke than we already are.

Many people are inventing new labels, flags, and sexualities, acting as if just because you posted/saw something on social media, it means it's valid at that exact moment. Where I live, we have the term "casa da mÃĢe Joana" (literally "Joana's mother's house"), which is a way of saying that a place is very chaotic, and I couldn't use a better term to describe how I see our community lately.

No, Radqueer is not valid, radqueer dont rock. Radqueers think they're making a big ass mousse for the world and the community, but they're just harming us, and this part is so obvious i believe i don't even have to explain why they suck.

No, you're not a diva if you really hate aro/ace people. You're just as bad as a hetero homophobic even if you're homo.

No, people, that "new" label and/or sexuality you saw on Tumblr, TikTok, or any other social media, if it doesn't have historical context or simply doesn't work, it's not valid. Please, study before labeling yourselves or others. Stop creating so many microterms, because they haven't added anything to the community – we already have enough microterms, don't worry (I say this in a non-mocking way). These things only make the community even more confusing and seem more complicated and complex than it really is, not to mention how much they only help homophobes see us even more as a joke.

I hope you understood what I meant, have a good day, a good afternoon or a good night, and happy Pride Month.
