I saw this video about scene queens by this youtuber "vitalyspace" and holy shit. These girls were literally 14-16 blowing up on myspace with so many people looking up to them. But what I physically can't wrap my head around is the fact that Dahvie Vanity (THE FUCKING ALLEGED RAPIST PEDOPHILE) got cut SOOO MUCH SLACK because people either liked his music, had a crush on him, and genuinely had this intense parasocial relationship with him online.
The worst part is that BOTDF ISN'T EVEN FUCKING GOOD. ALL THEY TALK ABOUT HAVING SEXUAL RELATIONS WITH UNDERAGE CHILDREN LMAOO. I could genuinely go on a full rant about how evil that time period was. Even though i've FORTUNATELY never lived through that I think its good to get rid of that "Lets bring old scene back guys111!!! XD" Mentality because it was horrendous. (Please don't get me started with the entire "Stickydrama" site)

As someone that experienced a bit of these old times, I can definitely say that things haven’t changed much sadly. But now, people often cancel others, so I guess that’s a bit different.
But yeah, same old, same old.
