Depends on the reason you two stopped talking. Generally people don't change. Though some do. Personally once I cut someone off I rarely talk to them again. There are always cool new people to meet.

If he has ever at any point in time made you miserable, do NOT go back. No matter how much time has passed, no matter what feelings are still there. It sounds harsh but sometimes you don't find out if someone has changed until it's too late. Keep yourself safe <3

Unless if he changed, if he did, and is willing to change for you. Then he's worth it. If not, well don't.
