Hey hey!! I would like to start writing down my sewing projects, I already started doing it in my new diary I bough, but I would like to do it here as well, to share my progress I guess?
Keep it mind I sew by hand! <3 But im thinking will try to sew with machine soon.
#1 Daschund plushie - my first ever plushie
Date: 10.3.2025
Time: around 1 hour
Fabric: Cotton
Other materials: rice as stuffing
Inspiration: My friends dog
Sewed for: my friend, birthday gift
Well, this was my first sewing, was nervous!! Even picking the fabric was hard, but decided to buy two different colored fabrics, to make it double colored. I first drawn the dog on fabric, cut it. Forst mistake I did was leaving no space for sew allowance, so the final product kinda.. get smaller lol, the nose and tail wasnt as I wanted it to be, werent that defined. I sewed it with running stitch, as I didnt know any other stitch and this one was easier for me. At the end I stuffed the dog with rice. But as it was done the dog has some holes, badly sewed stitches, so rice could go out oopsie.
Overall thoughs: Could be better!! Wasnt that happy with it... 5/10

#2 Hand puppet Kvak
Date: 8.11.2025
Time: 2-3 hours
Fabric: plush
Other materials: buttons for eyes
Inspiration: Childrens book: Frog and Toad are friends :)
Sewed for: College assignment
This one was forced lol. It was assigment for college... we had to make 5 didactic aids for our preschool day project. We could do hand puppets and HAD to do board game, something from wood, something from fabric and puzzle. So I deciced to add the hand puppet as well, I already had in my head how I would want to make the day project and I could use the hand puppet as motivation for the kids int he morning, to bring them into the theme, book.
So, first, I had to ask dad for help lol, he knew how to sew since he used to sew a lot. He taugh me how to sew blanket stitch and let me tell you, that changed EVERYTHING, it made my sewing so much better and relaxing lmao, of course it doesnt work with everything but with plushies etc it works so well!! I had so much hard time cutting the fabric since it was so fluffy... ahhh. But somehow managed to cut it even :DDD sewing could begin!
I love the final product, I was so proud of myself once I finished it <3 even added buttons as his eyes hehe.
Overall thoughs: LOVE IT, BEST SEWING EVER, 10/10 I LOVE MY SON!!!!

#3 Heating cat
Date: 23.12.2025
Time: 1 hour
Fabric: Cotton
Other materials: rice as stuffing
Inspiration: Pinterest
Sewed for: my sister, Christmas gift
Saw this cute idea on pinterest and I knew I have to make it for my sister! Printed the pattern, drew on fabric and cut. Now with a good sew allowence, no mistakes like during first sewing project.
Once it was cut I started to sew with blanket stitch, after finishing sewing I turn it around and realized during sewing the ears kinda went ... small, less defined. But that was OK since now they look like ears of those specific cat breed :DDD So I was just happy. After that I filled it with rice... a lot of rice... the cat was so full it could burst any moment (SPOILER ALERT: it did burst, my little cousin found it, played with it and once it fell down it ripped open and burst lmao, stll need to fixx it).
My sister loved the cat :DDD and I did too
Overall thoughs: had fun making it, 9/10, could use less rice

Well this is all!! Hope to post more about my sewing projects, I plan to do more, more then just plushies :))
Bye bye!!
