sharing the music you love, with the world......?

sometimes people irl will ask you what kind of music you listen to...and i never know how to respond-_- bcuz (at the extreme risk of sounding annoyingly pretentious) nearly everything i listen to is Not well known, to your average person.....so mentioning artists that you listen to, all you get are confused looks and some awkward "hmmm"s.....and as for genres, i am absolutely horrible at knowing what genres my music is, but more importantly, i dont really care!!0_o i just listen to what i want, what sounds good, the only genre i really know anything about is screamo, but if you tell that to your average person they still have no idea what you are talking about....ive decided that i will mention sinead o connor when i get into these situations, bcuz i feel she is the only artist i listen to that theres even a slight chance the person im talking to has heard of.....
