Should you join THEATER? 🎭

hello, hello! Today’s blog is about— should you join theater— if so what is the experience like? TODAY’S IS JUST ABOUT ACTING, I WILL GET TO BEING A TECHIE SOON!

!!REMINDER!! : this is my personal opinions and experiences, you can form your own if you ever try/have tried theater as both a techie/student leader and actor! 

ACTING

oh my lord, I just acted in a play called “the bugs” it was my first ever show, and I loved it! I was an ensemble with lines, so I was in most scenes, but it’s amazing! I absolutely loved acting, and it was just the best. 

Cons:

-tech week drains tf out of you!: it causes missing assignments, dehydration and lack of sleep if you’re not prepared!

-rehearsals can be longgg and you can be called when you’re not needed, it depends on time management mostly! (but you cannot manage the time the directors need to, you aren’t responsible for it.)

-show jitters/nerves are real, and I had to take no poop meds (tmi?? wtvv…) because I get stomach cramps when I’m very anxious!

-you do need to buy essentials unless you wanna die (im being fr) and yup!

Pros:

-you will meet so many new and nice people and gain so many friends!

-everybody in theater is sweet (kinda joking, not everyone is sweet, you need to get to know people because there are many types of theater kids.)

-if you love acting, and even if you don’t this is truly a great experience.

-shows are so thrilling and fun!
