Gonna be the first "proper" blog I post here, and figured I'd do something that's appropriate for here, a bunch of bands I REALLY like that are also pretty obscure. Well, obscure for the standards of the average person, even if you're into music like this. Heads up that basically all of these are rock or metal bands since that's mainly what I listen to.
Gallows - Hardcore Punk
British hardcore punk band, admittedly only listened to their album Orchestra of Wolves but they're REALLY REALLY good, outside of that their track Misery (off Grey Britain) has been one of my favorite songs this year, especially when you listen to the thing with the full intro instead of just skipping to when the guitar kicks in
Kittens - Noise Rock
A canadian band (Winnipeg, specifically) from the 90s, their music is so loud and aggressive and I fucking love it, Tiger Comet has been one of my favorite albums for a while, got it physically on CD in 2022 and don't regret it, their other albums are really good too
Black Mountain - Indie/Psychedelic Rock
Another canadian band, these guys are from the 2000s, and a similar case where I've only heard their first and second albums (Self Titled and In The Future, specifically) but I've listened to their first album so much when just doing whatever, ITF isn't too far behind either, good to listen to if you wanna chill out
Locklsey - Power Pop/Indie Rock
An American band for a change (from Wisconsin, specifically), yet another case where I've only heard two albums from them (Don't Make Me Wait and Be In Love), but those two albums are so good I feel perfectly comfortable recommending the band anyways, I especially love Don't Make Me Wait, one of my favorite indie rock albums from the 2000s
Ok - Indie Rock
Lastly, it's another british band (from Cardiff), these guys are REALLY obscure (and hard to look up their name >.>), they formed in the 2000s but only put out one album, Under The Weather But Under The Moon, along with some singles afterwards, but then they never released anything after that, and it's a shame they were never that popular anyways, since I felt they were really good and stood out when it came to british indie bands.
Prob will post more later, but here's some bands I can recommend you guys listen to
