Song covers

I've been singing my entire life and I've gotten to the point where I'm ready to release some song covers

My teacher has given me a couple tips about software, recording, and shi like that but I'm still curious abt one thing:

how do i make money off of ts????? like how do i get popular? my yt channel has 700+ subscribers for art-related stuff but how will my subs react if all of a sudden i post a song cover?

im thinking ill do covers of vocaloid songs, so first up on my list is God-ish by PinocchioP, and maybe to ease my subs into it ill animate my own MV of my persona, or copy the animation of the og mv but with my persona (not trace, just copy the style and format if that makes sense)

someday ill release my own songs but i think a good way to get into it is by doing covers first.

What do you guys think?? do any experienced cover artists/artists in general have any tips? I have a mic, software, and interface btw, so i have all the things i need to do it. now the last step is actually.......... doing something.
