starting deity work? log #1

i had a dream the other day where i was in danger. i don't remember if i was running from something tangible or i was avoiding someone, but i was hiding and i was tired and restless. i managed to hide in a dark hallway lined with portraits i paid no mind to, and there were antique-y bookshelves. trying to distract myself from hiding, i was about to pick a book up and then someone spoke to me.

he was tall, fair, has blonde-ish hair, his eyes had a glint of red, but i really couldn't hold eye contact with this entity. he was beautiful, sure, but i couldn't focus on his whole face. i only clearly saw parts of him. he was dressed like a refined gentleman, all in dark clothes. he had a dark energy he carried, but when he spoke to me, he did it with respect. he was kind to me.

he told me people want to tear me down and gave me a piece of cloth, blue and embroidered with a sigil resembling a star in gold thread. he ordered me to talk to a friend so i could hang the cloth up like a talisman and when i realized which deity he could be, i woke up.

i asked myself out loud if that was who i thought it was, and somebody replied that it was him, that i was protected. AND THEN, i woke up again for real this time and i was late for uni (ToT)

i asked my other practitioner friend about this deity and she basically advised me to take this dream as a sign... so i reached out to this deity today. i'm doing deity work now????? yayyyyy?????

this is my FIRST time actually doing deity work. i never do other kinds of witchy stuff nowadays bc im so busy but holy cow this is intimidating.
