state of ROBLOX

ive been a roblox user since 2013. i think i was like 6 or 7 years old (do not) and ive never stopped playing since so the game means a lot to me. in recent years, roblox has been plummeting really badly by trying to find every single fucking way possible to make their platform even worse. at this point, it feels like they're intentionally trying to erase their history and promote buying premium.

as of now, roblox has implemented many different standards to publishing games and items, which doesn't sound so bad, but it came at a huge cost for old content. generally the way they went around it made it seem more like a greed thing than a safety thing.

in order to publish games to all ages, you must be ID verified and own premium. again, doesn't sound so bad, until you realize how many old games are officially lost to time because their creators don't use roblox anymore. fortunately if you don't own premium you can still publish games but they will only be available to 16+, and you still need to complete a very not suspicious age check.

as for classic clothing items, it now costs TWO HUNDRED robux to UPLOAD an item, and SIX HUNDRED robux to SELL IT. of course, you also must be id verified, and this has caused much of old clothing to be wiped from the catalog. the clothing i have uploaded to my group thankfully haven't been taken out yet, probably because im already verified (sadly) and they've already been uploaded, so....

my FINAL complaint about this god forsaken app is the chat system. it's become a lot more sensitive recently. i think the rephrase feature could be a good idea but it's so fucking bugged! ever since they added it, half of my messages have been tagging/getting rephrased and many of those times it rephrases to the EXACT...SAME...THING... and what's even WORSE is that i only play with my bf, and for whatever reason he does not have the rephrase feature yet across any platforms so my rephrased messages come out as tags to him. and  i just have to keep spamming until something works.

O lord this game i loathe. these new updates have driven me further away from roblox and now i have found much more interest in gmod (he went from playing kids games to teen games, wow), i still play from time to time but it's really... boring. im probably just outgrowing it. how sads.
