i honestly don't get why summer is so hyped up... the best thing that comes out of it is a break from school. summer 10 years ago was fun, but now? it's just disgustingly hot and every time you step foot outside the sun literally burns. not just sunburn, it is painful to stand in the sunlight for periods of time. not even very long ones at that. the heatwaves these days are unbearable, actually ridiculous.. bc wdym it's 100℉ (about 38℃) in late march. then summer actually hits in may like a slap in the face with 110℉. like how did we get here from a beautiful 70 day?? i hate being in the ugly parts of cali. if the bay area wasn't reserved for millionaires, i would def go live in that windy weather than this dry heat. and don't get my started on monsoons... i used to love summer rain, but now it's too damn hot for it to be raining. i would prefer dry heat than muggy, humid heat. how do you guys enjoy the summer anymore </3

In Ohio, many of the summers 10ish years ago were hotter than this one has been. Despite the fact that they keep saying "93 degrees F!!! RECORD BREAKING TEMPERATURE SINCE 1901!!! RECORD BREAKING TEMPERATURE SINCE 1983!!!! on accuweather for over a month now whenever it gets even slightly hot. But I phyiscally remember seeing the thermometers in the tripple digits during the summer where I am multiple times 2010-2015 and it being much hotter than these ""Record breaking temperature days"".
Funnily I went and looked up the actual government temperature records.... And the weather apps are all lying.... It's literally just normal summer temperatures, but their signaling has just changed to alarmism.
They did the same thing aggressively with the whole ANTI "anti-vax" movement right before covid. It's called priming.
What you personally are experiencing right now is hot very moist air being moved basically from the equator up directly to canada through cali. That's the extent of what I'm allowed to say.
