super duper mega cool transformers oc

Their name's Vaportrail n theyre from a naruto/transformers au I'm fleshing out

They transform into a Harkonnen ornithopter n they're maybe junxies with Ratchet!

As a mech from the Elemental Nations they posses a secondary circular system that compresses energon waste gas into chakra (will expand on this in a later post).

Their specialities are mainly fuuinjutsu, kenjustu and ninjustu, with taijustu being a  secondary skill. Their primary affinity is wind and their secondary affinity is water. 

Also as a Konoha mech, they have a teambond (similar to a trine bond) with two other mechs. This bond also includes their mentor when the team are still genin for safety reasons. Their teambond includes two other ocs, Epicentre and Beacon! Their first teacher, Switchblade (another oc), got killed kinda horrifically on their first field misson so they got assigned a second teacher, Maelstrom (In universe Kushina). The team mainly focused on bombs, bomb disposal and fuuinjutsu, alongside tracking and trapping.

It is important to note that this is continuity soup! There r bits in pieces from various continuities i'll be using. Also I usually refer to mechs with they/them pronouns btw so I'm sorry if it's a bit difficult to tell what mech I'm talking about.

Backstory:

They came to Cybertron from the elemental nations (Vaportrail's parents moved to Konoha from Suna) AFTER they retired from shinobi life as a Tokubestu Jonin due to it being a bit too much(they've still gotta stay in Konoha's reserves for time equal to how long they were on active duty). Why Cybertron though? I hc that the functionalist council controlled/senate the image of Cybertron very well so mechs from different planets (i.e. the Elemental Nations, Caminus etc) were more likely to move to Cybertron because it was safe and protected from war and peaceful n all that jazz. It also served to bolster the number of workers on Cybertron so uhh yeah.

When they came to Cybertron they realised that the senate lied, and they got shoehorned into a job as a courier. They were a bit annoyed, but eventually started getting more risky orders (general shadiness in the senate). They kept this as blackmail and anonymously released this info when Sentinel died and Optimus was just starting to take control. This might have radicalised more mechs to join the Decepticons and and made general unrest worse (woops). Noone knows who leaked that data to this day and Vaportrail is very happy to keep it that way.

While all this is happening they become friends and eventually get closer with Ratchet, but they both have issues (Stress, PTSD n anxiety to varying degrees in both mechs) so they go through periods of being close n couple-y and periods where they seem more like friends (may possibly change in the future of the au). I'd imagine both mechs have helped the other when they've had like, flahsbacks n stuff. 

When Ratchet tells them that they're joining the Autobots, Vapourtrail is initially a bit hesitant because of what they've seen before, though mainly because they're wary of both factions being based on different ideals and not on grabbing the other's land or resources. When they see the Decepticons starting to change into what the faction sought to destroy, however, they choose to join the Autobots. Keep in mind that this is ONLY because the Decepticons were becoming a threat and that they got told by a Konoha higher up that they were to help stop the Decepticons by any means neccesary.

With Ratchet, they have two sparklings that emerged during the war. The first one, Cloudjumper, was white with orange and blue highlights. They joined the Autobot logistics division and died during the war. Their second sparkling, Remedy (Remi for short) is blue with white highlights. They're still growing up and training to become a medic like their sire one day!
Cloudjumper was sired by Vaportrail, but due to an accident in the war Ratchet can't carry sparklings anymore so Remedy was sired by Ratchet.

Cloudjumper's death was very upsetting and it made Ratchet and Vaportrail go through a difficult period in the war. Remedy emerged a while after this.

Vaportrail's issues:

• Bad hearing from working with bombs 
• headaches from using their visor too much
• chronic pain from replacement legs (the original ones were blown up during the war)
• Altered feeling in the legs (Their replacement legs only had rudimentary chakra channels. Continued chakra use has MOSTLY fixed the issue)

Personality:

They're alot like a parrot or a cat, real silly n stuff but also observent. Idrk what else to write tbh. It'll come up as I write them ig.

Frame tidbits:

• Mechs from the elemental nations (particularly shinobi) possess plating that exists on a slider from rounder and brighter coloured to sharper and duller coloured. If their plating 'sharpens' quickly and their rotors start humming, they're being intimidating and agressive. This usually happens before a fight. When their plating sharpens slower, this usually signifies that they're in a safe space. Mechs will rarely ever fully sharpen outside of a serious fight.
• Visors are also frame addons, with specialist mechs attaching them to a mech's helm with a small notch visible under chevrons or helmets to show where the visor goes. Visors also pop out when mechs are experiencing strong emotion (for example, getting scared, fighting, extreme happiness/sadness etc)
• They installed antennae on their head over their audials to help bolster their sensor abilities. The antennae p much work like sonar.
• Like all warframes from the Elemental Nations, they also have digigrade legs so they can run faster, jump higher etc
