Taking notes at an applied university.

Hi guys!! Welcome back to my blog page!!

SO! I've officially been studying at my new applied university for 9 whole days.. OMG!! 

I've since realised just how hard this really is. I've already skipped one class today and I'm probably going to skip another one tomorrow
(I have a good reason.. There's going to be a big party)

And let me tell you, these past 9 whole days I've learned... NOTHING!!! yayyyyyyy...

I'm having a hard time figuring out how I'd take notes best, and this is really affecting my productivity.
I've tried almost everything, making a new Word document for every class, writing directly in the description of the shown Powerpoint, I've even tried going back to pen and paper.. wow

Now, I've learned a thing or two about these methods since using them, they all have 1 thing in common.. they all SUCK.

-Word is messy, i just put down random blurbs and half of the time i cant even figure out what i was talking about afterwards
-Powerpoint sucks since most powerpoints made by teachers already have like 99% of what you need to know on them so i just end up writing nothing lol
-pen and paper sucks because you can't write as fast as your teacher talks so you end up missing a ton

Now... after a bit of trying things out and looking up solutions i have found MY METHOD!!!

This is what you'll need: at least two devices, Notability on at least one of these devices, Onenote, notebook lm (All are free i believe)
These are the steps:
(trust me, theyre so low effort and they pay off well)

1. Go to your lecture (I know, boring, just trust me)

2. Record your entire lecture on notability and on your second device just use a normal voice memo recording app

3. Notability will turn the lecture into nicely organised notes, and you can use the recording on your second device to put it into notebook lm to create even more detailed notes, podcasts, videos and other things.

4. Put all of the info you have in a Onenote page, use a new page for every different class so it stays organised

5. Re-read every note and look up things you dont understand. You can also listen to your entire lecture again to hear your professor explain it.

6. do this until you understand what you saw today

7. repeat for every lesson and for every class, then BOOM. Good grades!!
