There is a well-known illegal practice in the countryside called cockfighting, where you bet on – duh – which cockerel is going to win in a hand-to-hand fight against another. I am using this absolute shambles of an example because lately, many of my classmates have been basking in the sweet feeling of romance (good for them, by the way). It is more a matter of intuition rather than wishing a plague upon them, but watching some relationships come and go within a matter of days gets me quite excited to see which couple will be the next to have a crisis
Mind you, it is easy to tell if a teenage couple is having a row. A while ago, a friend of mine was having trouble with his girlfriend, but he didn’t even need to tell me, because the gust of air from his huffing reached my face well before any venting did, hehe
Then there is the issue of unfaithfulness. The whole "online relationship leading to being cuckolded" thing is a bit tired by now, and I would love it if someone here who has done the web-dating thing could share an experience or two about it (chuckle)
Last year, an acquaintance confessed her feelings to me and asked for a peck. Cheeky girl. Since I didn’t feel the same way, I turned her down, and a few days ago I found out she had stepped out on her new boyfriend. She didn't have just one, but two guys on the side. Poor chap. Because of this, I have started betting with myself on who is going to play away in the relationships I know of, too. We are all teenagers, and this sort of behaviour is bizarre, but it couldn't be more common. I am eager to see if my hunches are right, and I promise to keep you posted if anyone breaks up
