The Backrooms review/rant

I FINALLY WATCHED THIS FUCKY ASS, BUMMY ASS, LAME ASS MOVIE.

i'm joking, i'm joking. guys...guys...put the gun down.

seriously though, i was expecting a lot more from this movie. not exactly sure what, but more of it. i guess what i'm trying to say is that it felt unfinished? like there's a chunk missing. don't get me wrong, the movie was glorious, aesthetically speaking. so was the acting and the cinematography and whatnot. the story just felt like they were skipping around some crucial information to make sense of the movie, which might be a lot to ask for from a movie that is all about distortion and anomalies that aren't supposed to make sense. BUT YOU DO UNDERSTAND WHAT I MEAN, RIGHT?

they could've done more with the weird organization studying the backrooms. or maybe explained why clark's distorted self is the main monster???? are there individual rooms for certain people? or are they all connected? does clark's story matter? or is he just another cog in the machine? maybe i'm not well-versed in the backrooms lore, or maybe i'm stupid and didn't catch ANYTHING. i just feel like most of it was pretty vague. 

OVERALL! it's alright. it's cool....but isn't as good as ppl were making it seem.....
