Anime : The dangers in my heart.
I haven't been online here for a while, since I had to care of some things. When I first thought about watching this anime, it looked like it was gonna be a typical, popular girl teases outcast loner emo boy and they fall in love (Teasing mister takagi san), but although they made the concept to be kind of like that, but this anime just blew me away.
The story revolves around kyotaro ichikawa, an emo 13 year old, who later on turned 14 in the series. Kyo was the kind of person who would read biography books on murderers. Until he met yamada Anna, a model, and an uprising actress. Their story begins from the small library of their school, the small fleeting moments and the beauty of overflowing from their own shells.
At it's core the story is about making new relationships, falling in love, and discovering your insecurities and overcoming them. Yamada had the dilemma of not being enough for anything, and afraid to disappoint the people around her, and Ichikawa was insecure about how he'd look next to girl he liked, and in fear that everyone will leave him too if he showed himself to them. The series discovers how teenagers truly don't have anything besides their emotions and each other. The fear of falling in love with someone because you just know it's not gonna work out because of how much you overshadow your own qualities, no matter if they are good or bad.
In this, yamada and Ichikawa learn they have their own likes and dislikes, their own lives and learn to respect each other equally, respecting their feelings and their own duties. The side characters also were so well written, the character development just showed how much the characters were willing to change for each other. Even just a little.
In my opinion, this anime was just straight up beautiful, I don't know anything other word to describe it. Because the way they portrayed the genre of teenagers going through physical changes, emotional changes, environmental changes, it just rattled me to how amazing this was. The writers really did an amazing fucking job at showing what teenage really looks like, even in different circumstances. Especially when you like someone, and are willing to come out of your comfort zone for them, especially as a teenager when it's so hard.
The only thing that really bugged me was the over sexualisation of the main characters who were TEENAGERS. But overall the series was seriously amazing. I loved it. And I'd recommend it. A total 9/10.
