Dangerous territory...
There's something nobody warns you about when making music
The first listen...
Outside FL Studio.
Inside the project...
Everything sounds perfect
You sit there like:
"Yeah... this might actually be the one."
Then you export it.
Put on your headphones
Press play...
...
...
Five seconds later...
"Wait..."
"Was that hi-hat always that loud?"
"Why does the bass suddenly hate the kick?"
"WHO INVITED THAT FREQUENCY?"
The details start escaping.
They're like microwave popcorn.
One pops...
Then another.
Then another.
Then another.
You fix one thing...
And somehow three more problems unlock themselves
It's like a side quest.
You finish one...
Congratulations!
Here's another.
GOOD LORD...
But after a while...
You stop panicking
You realize every producer goes through this.
The first listen outside FL Studio is always a little painful
A little humbling
And somehow...
A little funny
Because tomorrow...
You'll open the project again...
Fix everything...
Export another version...
And repeat the exact same process.
That's just part of making music
And honestly...
I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Yeah, when you're listening in FL, it's like, you're still focusing on individual pieces, but when it's exported, suddenly now it's the whole picture! Also, there are some sounds that sound different on every export, and I'm not sure why (Flex's Enlightenment, I love that sound but yeah), but I'm not that bothered, it kinda suits them lol
And audio mixing is a whole adventure as well, I was wondering why my stuff sounds fine on headphones, but not on speakers... took me half a year since starting this music making thing to discover audio normalisation so now I have to fix that on my tracks that I've released 😅
Yeah hahaha
But it teaches a new thing to fix and do
