Hiiii. I will be using my blog to do basic reviews of the various romfan (romance fantasy) webtoons (mostly manhwa, some manga, almost none manhua) I read for the purposes of archiving what I've read and remembering where I've left off! Starting with w/e I'm reading rn.
I will only review webtoons w protagonists that are women* because I don't care about a man's world.
*-sometime's it's complicated but as long as they're not a cishet man
Webtoon Review Layout
To make these reviews useful we're gonna establish some categories. So, at a glance, from 0-5, we'll rate:
Premise: background and first chapters. I do NOT read chapter 0s, so if important info is in there I'm disregarding it. Also Chapter 0s tend to be booooring
Plot: everything past the exposition, this category will include pacing
Characters: are the characters good. simple
Tone: was gonna make this "humor" but not all of them are comedies, so it'll be execution of intended tone
Romance: is the romance good. This category can very rarely be N/A, and that's okay. This includes evaluation of the romantic interest(s), as a kind of microcosm of the "characters" category
Art: visual appeal, probably more subjective category. I don't read many webtoons I don't like the look of so we're starting from a baseline of "looks decent"
Ending: is the ending any good. A lot of these are on infinite hiatus/waiting for seasons/simply not done by the times I'm reading them, so this category can be N/A

Chapters Read: just a note of what chapters I read through, will normally be 1XX/1-- but if some chapters are randomly missing I'll make a note like 1-33,36-1XX/1--. Will try to include this at the beginning.
Character Names and Short Blurb: not to review the names or anything but just bc many of these have v similar titles.
"The Little Princess is Actually a Witch" Webtoon Review
Follows witch Irina after she is betrayed and killed by her lover who she worked to make king as she is reincarnated into newborn princess Leona. Official translation spells these names "Arina" and "Liona" and official title is "The Wicked Little Princess"
Chapters Read: 105/180 available, incomplete
Premise: 4/5, liked that it wasn't reincarnation from modern day
Plot: 3/5
Charaters: 4/5, while most characters are one-note those notes tend to be interesting to make a well-rounded cast
Tone: 3/5, comedy-centered with tragedy here and there. jokes aren't awful
Romance: Gonna put this down as N/A; it is obvious who the ML (male lead) is however we are pre-timeskip. I KNOW there's gonna be a timeskip, probably around Ch. 120, and technically the FL and ML are the same mental age but she's still a kid now. Regardless, if I were to rate the ML and the dynamic, it'd be a good 3/5 who doesn't love a dog bf.
Art: 2/5, art style switched around Ch. 50, new art style is fine I just feel it lost a lot of cool character points
Ending: N/A
Notes: Longer than I expected but enjoyable read. Who doesn't love learing how to love.
