The Luciferian Tarot: Page of Wands

In understanding the Black Flame, it is key to understand Azazel, depicted here as a blue skinned man surrounded in bright fire and the sun burning behind him. This is our desire for power, our courage and beauty. 

Traditionally, Page of Wands is something that comes within as a creative, inspirational spark, and signifies exciting incoming news. It's often represented in the youthful, adventurous free-spirit marking a fresh approach to the subject of the reading.

In the Lucifierian Tarot, it is Azazel, the fallen angel who taught humanity of weaponry and armor, as well as earthly adornments of jewelry and the beautifying of eyelids (a favorite of mine). A spiritually lawless rebel is our bearer of tidings.

We get the term "scapegoat" from Azazel. A Hebrew ritual outlined in Leviticus describes the sacrifice of two identical goats, one to God and the other for Azazel. The goat for Azazel carried the sins of the community away into the wilderness.

In the Book of Enoch, Azazel is a leader of the 200 dissenting angels known as the Watchers or Grigori, who fell from heaven to take human wives, have children, and teach them the forbidden arts and secrets of Heaven.

Azazel is the First Angel to bring us the Black Flame of being. In Islamic lore, Azazel is a Lord of Djinn and made of smokeless fire, distinguished from other angels who were made of light.

When commanded by God to bow before the clay of Adam, it was Azazel who refused, calling it profane. He was cast from Heaven to Earth, now an independent spirit, the Adversary Iblis, or Shaitan.

As the initiator of the individual, and antinomian thought, he is a spirit of fire who represents the forward motion of humanity, bestowed angelick power to be balanced with the therionick. The symbol of the courageous and lawless, this card is the spark of limitless potential.
