The Luciferian Tarot: VIII of Cups

VIII of Cups: Represented by the Antichrist and Devil in beastial form.

The left hand path is not purely carnal, and there does come a time where material success is left for achievement of a higher spiritual goal. The Antichrist is balanced and awakens mankind.

The 8 of Cups is traditionally a card signifying walking away from something that is no longer emotionally fulfilling. This can be a job, a relationship, or even a lifestyle, in search of deeper meaning, personal growth, and ultimately truth. It's a bittersweet card.

The Luciferian Tarot does not deny worldly success, but it does stand to ask you what your success really looks like and encourages you to not believe the end-all, be-all of your journey is hedonism and rebellion without purpose. And that purpose? Initiation and transformation.

The Devil in beastial form is depicted to instruct the instincts of the Beast in fleshly form. Remember however that the beastial atavisms should not rule you, you rule them with strength and will. Your lusts are motivations towards the Higher Guide, leading to transformation.

The Antichrist enfleshed, as a Lord of the earth, as Belial, is without master. Malkira the angel of lawlessness and Mantanbuchus, the spirit of Lucifer descending into a body.

It is written that Belial, or Beliar, is a Luciferian angel who both descends into flesh and raises up the height of the mountains, stir the sea and behold the power of Sun and Moon, and to raise the dead. It's the control of the sleeping atavisms, to know the self at all levels.

To be without a master is not a sign to sink entirely into carnality without balance, it is to wield the balance of angelick and therionick, of light and dark, solar (masculine) and lunar (feminine) to reject the notion that these dualisms need to be at odds.

Beliar, or Mantanbuchus (Ahriman) is said in Satanic Magick - A Paradigm of Therion to emanate 7 spirits of the Adversary. These are inherent parts of humanity, with an 8th as the encircling and controlled capability of the Antichrist enfleshed.

1. The Spirit of Fornication: Dwelling within the mind of the individual, this is exercised desire but restrained when needed.

2. The Spirit of Insatiateness: This is the hunger for more, the vampyric thirst of continued existence, immortality of the spirit beyond flesh. In essence, Az-Jeh.

3. The Spirit of Fighting and Aggression: Another primal instinct dwelling within the mind to be given a place to manifest while kept in balance for the sake of your own defense.

4. The Spirit of Trickery: Using the Four Hells of Dushmata (Evil Thought), Dushukhta (Evil Word), Dushvarshta (Evil Deed), and Anaghra Temah (Endless Darkness) to master the world around you.

5. The Spirit of Pride: To exalt yourself as God, to be masterless, yokeless of Heaven, to be the only god that is and all must manifest through you.

6. The Spirit of the Lie: The Serpent, the Druj, to be one who is cunning and capable of announcing the desires, both higher and lower, that you wish to enflesh in your life.

7. The Spirit of Envy: To use the desire for more not as what rules you, but as motivation to improve your life. Enemies are inevitable, and valuable for the benefit of your motivation.

8. The Spirit of Fantasy: the subconscious mind and dreams are enjoyed, not shunned, for it is the way to understand yourself, desires, and life.

To understand this card on a deeper level, we must look towards the 8th Sephira, Hod, "glory and splendor" of the Tree of Life. On the night side of Sitra Achra, Hod becomes the Qlipha of Samael, ruled by ArchDemon, Adramelech.

The glory of Hod in Samael becomes self reliance and strength through Mercury's transformation. The burning desire here is what you intend to become by shedding the mortal flame. This reveals the fire within, the Black Flame, and spark of the Forge of Cain, Lord of the Path.

To devour this sphere destroys your shell, and gifts you light, intellect, and strength. Samael is balanced in the aspect of light and darkness, knowing both liberation and ecstasy.

I found this pull insightful because it came after a conversation I had with a close friend about carnal comfort-seeking in a community I'm in becoming more of a hindrance, and something I feel I've outgrown. I feel as if I've grown to accept a well maintained balance.

Unfortunately, I think it's common for marginalized loner types to seek the comfort in other marginalized loners, and a community builds around this. However, it is easy to sink into carnality and maladaptive habits, lifestyles, and find yourself being enabled by others.

The Lucifierian Path for me has become a way of balancing material gratification, guided by spiritual illumination. It is constant growth, and an often ego-dystonic experience where struggle and overcoming the obstacles of adversity is rewarded with new heights.

Because of my commitment to the path, I've found myself alienated by older comforts, behaviors, habits, mindsets and a lifestyle that no longer serves what my "self" is really aligned with anymore. Indulgence is a right, yet I have the inner desire for more.

With the aim of initiating mankind into empowerment, higher levels of transformation, mastering new territories, and gaining new wisdom, Cain's wandering continues.
