While I'm very glad that we are at a time where we can discover tons of different genres with just one click , i feel like to me mainstream music has been gone so vanilla and also very boring and bad , when you look at the billboard charts now , you'll see some bland soft 80s wannabe pop songs, country music , like everything is just soft and okay , to me back then in the 90s/2000s especially in 2010s ,mainstream music wasn't afraid to cooperative with the alternative experimental music , which is why we discovered so many of great musicians

But it seem to me nowadays mainstream usic have gone soft and safe
Every song you hear on billboard 100 is just soft guitar or tired ass 80s jack anotoff produced music , or just ai slop
Despite there's many of great electronic and alternative artists like charli xcx who charting
Still i feel like people didn't want to tune in still with her album because it doesn't sound "brat"
I also believe electronic experimental music is in good hands with the hands of fka twigs , charli xcx , shy girl, underscores , drain gang, 2hollis , kelela
But i feel like people don't tune in to them much more then it should be
,still i can still enjoy their music and be glad about it , but i hope i can see the mainstream music isn't afraid just like the 90s
