A good chunk of this website are people in the scene subculture. They chase for the same feeling the 00s scene queens got on MySpace back in the days, and I don't blame 'em. You might think being scene is 100% a fun, enjoyable experience, especially now considering we're more "accepting" And while it's true for some of the people in the scene that's all fun and no drama,
Most of the scene sucks.
Yep, you heard that right.
I'm not trying to be insensitive or cruel, but I want the people in the community to be aware of what they're doing and realize that they still have the same exact attitude as the scene queens 20 years ago even when they believe they're kinder. You might not notice it here, I always see my scene mutuals on Instagram in some sort of drama for some reason. While some are reasonable things to call out, like racism, pedophilia etc, they also way too frequently get into drama over the slightest things. For example, one scene girl has neon pink hair in a peacock style. Then, a few months later, another scene girl gets the same neon pink hair but with a more heart-shaped style. The peacock styled girl gets furious and claims that the other girl copied her "signature" style. This is the exact same pettiness the scene queens had back in the day.
You might claim "Oh, we're more progressive and kind now as a society, it doesn't matter." It does matter. Even if we are a bit kinder, I still see bullying and extreme pettiness too too often in the scene.
Now you may ask, how do I know so well?
Well, I was scene for 2 years, and my friend was for 2 years as well. I wasn't too popular, I mostly lurked and watced the drama unfold every day. My friend on the other hand was super popular and even made her own perfection group last year. ↓

If you've ever seen a girl before like this on Pinterest, that's my friend. (Don't go asking me for her info or anything, she really hates when that stuff happens, so leave her alone!! >:(
She definitely could speak from experience more than me, but we both know the ugly truth about it. The high ranking, uber-popular scene kids still often bully the less popular and conventionally attractive scene kids, it's just more hidden. Instead of an obnoxious scene fail website, it's a private group chat nobody knows about.
If you are scene, I am not trying to personally attack you. I am trying to call out the BS the modern scene kids often do because it always goes unnoticed.
The bottom line here is that the scene is just as toxic as it's always been, just with some different things.
Thanks for staying tuned to my blog by the way! ♡
